Protection Fee

Our Protection Fees at a Glance

Our association is funded entirely by donations and operates exclusively on a volunteer basis. Since we receive no government support, to cover the costs incurred we depend on monetary and material donations as well as the collection of a protection fee when placing our animals. Only in this way can we continue our work sustainably and provide the best possible care for the animals entrusted to us.

Dog

For the adoption of a dog, a protection fee of 500 euros must be paid.

Cat

For the adoption of a cat, a protection fee of 150 euros must be paid.

What should be brought to adoption?

So that your new four-legged family member can start as well as possible in his future home, we ask you to bring the following documents and equipment to adoption:

Protection fee

Adoption contract

For dogs: leash with double carabiner, collar

And lots of affection and anticipation

Please note that both dogs and cats must be secured in the vehicle for the journey home. For this, either a transport box fixed in the car or a special dog harness in combination with a chest harness is suitable.

What must be done after adoption?

In Austria, dogs must be registered in the pet database within one month of adoption.

In Germany, dog owners must register their dog with the local municipal administration or responsible residents' registration office within 14 days. This obligation applies to all dogs, regardless of breed, size or age.

In Switzerland, every dog must be reported to the municipal authorities by the owner.

Dogs must be presented at a staffed customs office during opening hours when first imported into Switzerland. The border crossings Basel/Weil am Rhein-Autobahn, Kreuzlingen-Autobahn and Brogeda Autostrada (Chiasso) are open 24 hours.

We ask you to make this registration on time.

Additionally, each animal should be registered immediately at Findefix, Tasso, Animaldata (Austria) or Amicus (Switzerland)!

Once your new four-legged family member has settled into his home, we would also very much appreciate feedback and photos. Such positive developments are valuable confirmation and motivation for our team's daily work. Thank you!
