About Pajtas
Pajtás is a young dog who has already experienced severe hardship early in life. He was hit by a car and subsequently taken to a kill shelter. Fortunately, he was rescued from there by the Puli Animal Welfare Association.
He is currently living safely in a shelter in Debrecen, but he is urgently hoping for a permanent home with people who can offer him security, stability, and a sense of belonging. Pajtás is a balanced, calm, and friendly male dog. Despite his difficult past, he approaches people in a gentle and cautiously curious way. He is social with other dogs and avoids conflict, although cats are not his preferred companions.
He needs patient caregivers who will give him the time he needs to build trust and settle in at his own pace. After his accident, he was examined by a veterinarian; no bone fractures were found, only a front leg injury, which has fully healed.
In addition, Pajtás is heartworm-positive, but the condition is treatable and manageable, and he is either already receiving treatment or is under veterinary control. At present, he has no other health issues.
In the shelter, he lives peacefully with other dogs. Leash walking still needs some improvement, as he occasionally pulls, but with consistent training he will learn this well.
For Pajtás, we are looking for a calm and understanding home where he can finally settle in. He is a grateful and loyal companion who will give a lot back to the people who give him a chance.
